Welcoming all for another 100 years!
UPDATE: On Wednesday, April 19, the City Council voted unanimously to uphold LMAP’s two zoning variances, which means construction can proceed this summer. A huge thanks to everyone who has supported the school through this lengthy process!
LMAP is the only public, arts education pre-K to 8 school in Saint Paul, serving 67% students of color, 67% low-income students, 17% students with disabilities, and 38% ELL students, and most of our students come from outside the neighborhood. As part of its Facilities Master Planning process, SPPS identified the school as among the very highest-priority schools for improved facilities. Unfortunately, despite two major revisions to the improvement plans to accommodate critiques and input, the group Linwood Neighborhood Friends (LNF) continues to oppose our school’s needed improvements, and is fighting the variance requests that the school needs to proceed with its much-needed renovations on both campuses (Linwood and Monroe). Please join us in asking our elected officials and decision-makers to stand with us to support the growth and advancement of our students.
